Round 2 of the Start2Finish Arenacross Series Blasts Off This Weekend In Bowman

The second round of the newly created Start2Finish Arenacross series is set to rocket out of the gate this Saturday, the 21st of November, in Bowman, North Dakota. While rider count was lower than expected at round one--due to unusually warm weather in the region--excellent rider responses from October's race have us at GrassRoots excited about the rest of the series.

Practice starts at 8:30am on Saturday with a full day for practice, qualifying and main events to follow. A special event for the November round is the Dittus Racing Clinic slated for Sunday. Open to mini riders only (85 two-stroke/150 four-stroke and below), co-promoter and long-time expert level racer Rick Dittus will cover basic and advanced techniques to improve both indoor, and outdoor riding. The clinic runs from 8am-2pm and entry is $70, including lunch. You must be pre-registered and may do so by calling Justin at: 701.206.0797.

If you haven't put the Bowman Arenacross Series on your calendar yet, do it today.

From GrassRoots Issue 4...
Justin Abrahamson and Rick Dittus have joined forces to create a promotion company dedicated to establishing a lasting arenacross series in the tiny
town of Bowman, ND. Based in a county-owned building, the dirt floor-section measures approximately 117’ x 250’—slightly larger than its competing building in Rapid City, SD—and boasts room for 4, wide lanes of racing and seats up to 1000 spectators. After a trial run in the winter of 2009, the 2010 series kicks off with two days of racing action, October 10-11, then runs a full nine-race series. Preliminary plans are underway for the addition of a dedicated, heated pit area that spans the length of the arena that Abrahamson hopes to have available by round two in November. With pro payback at 150%, the racing action should be hot-and-heavy all winter long.
