Post Qualifying blog from Thunder Valley

Qualifying just finished up here in the land of the thousand-degree sun and it was a tough day for the NDMA guys. Bismarck’s Tanner Reidman and Glendive’s Cole Mort went into their first AMA Pro National of the year with high expectations—and the most prepared they’ve ever been—but after practice had concluded, things were looking bleak. Both riders found themselves on the line for the LCQ with 38 other riders, all vying for the final two transfer spots.

Reidman ripped a monster holeshot in his LCQ and led for two laps, but a bobble mid-way through the race cost him the lead—and ultimately the final qualifying position into the motos. He finished third, one spot out of qualifying. Mort struggled with the altitude all morning and never really found himself in a position to qualify.

Both our guys rode well, but today simply wasn’t their day. Next stop: RED BUUUD!
